Suzette and Samala Island Adventures
Migrating from a landlocked country to a remote island in the southern hemisphere inspired a simple dream: to give our Australian-born daughters every pet they could possibly care for.
Their mother even imagined owning a giraffe – one of her favourite animals – and envisioned feeding it through a big roof window in our two-storey home, thanks to all the land we had. While that dream never quite came true, our family did raise a lively collection of animals, including a cow, a donkey, a calf, horses, chickens, cygnets, guinea pigs, and rabbits. There was always plenty of grass, apples, and vegetables to go around.
Now, Suzette the Cow tells the tale of their island adventures – the joys, the mishaps, and all the love in between.
